Piano tuning

Adjustment of the pitch of all 88 notes of the piano so they are in balance with each other. I use a hybrid method of tuning, using a state of the art ETD (electronic tuning device) along with aural skills to provide the best tuning possible for your piano.

Piano Repair

Pianos have hundreds of parts and often need repairs. Common repairs include sticky keys, broken strings, poorly functioning parts, rattling/squeaking/buzzing parts, reshaping the hammers

Regulation

Regulation is the adjustment of the timing of all the mechanical parts in the piano "action", allowing for the best touch possible. As pianos age parts become worn and compressed, regulation becomes necessary to adjust the action to account for those changes.

Voicing

Voicing is performed to improve and even out the tone through maintenance of the hammers. A prerequisite to voicing is that the piano is in tune and well regulated.

Keytop replacement

Pianos with chipped or missing keytops are unpleasant to play. I replace old keytops with high quality German acrylic material and customize to fit your keys.
